Growers club - session 2

This is a club for vegetable growers to share experience, gain knowledge and check that what we are doing isn't totally mad......  come and join the fun. By April we are past the equinox and into the fast lane of the growing season - so pop on your seat belts and let's take a ride!

Please arrive promptly at 2.00 pm so you don't miss anything

Friday 24th April 2026 - what's it all about:

I don't want to be too prescriptive about how the afternoon will go - but it will include the following:

1. A quick tour of the market garden to see what's been going on recently and what's planned for the coming couple of months
2. A look at what to sow and plant over the next couple of months and how best to do this - this will include some hands on work.
3. What's harvestable at the moment and how to carry this out?
4. Why organic works and what it means.
5. A look at some specific tasks you might want to carry out at this time of year
6. Q and A session - please bring along any questions you have

There will be a short break at half time for tea and cake

Any profits that we make from these sessions will go towards our community outreach work including children's farm visits and community food projects that we are planning.
