Introduction to fermentation workshop October 2025

This is our second fermenting workshop run by Karen. This time a morning workshop in which we will talk about how fermenting works, the different processes, the science behind it plus the latest research around why you might want to add more fermented foods to your diet.

Friday 24th October  9am-1pm

Arrive from 9am for a coffee and an introduction to fermenting which will start at 9.15.

Karen will demonstrate how to make kombucha, water kefir and dairy kefir

There will be a short break for coffee and a snack.

Following the break we will make some kimchi and sauercraut. Please bring a couple of jars with you so you can take some home. Ideally a 500ml Kilner style, but anything will do.

You will depart with your own recipes of what we have prepared, and the confidence to start making ferments at home for yourself and your family.
