Growers club

At this time of year we are looking at shorter days and cooler weather. Many of the main harvest crops are over, but if you have planned carefully there is still plenty to go at. We'll look at how to keep that going through the winter months.

Friday 23rd October 2026 - what's it all about:

I don't want to be too prescriptive about how the afternoon will go - but it will include the following:

1. A quick tour of the market garden to see what's been going on recently and what's planned for the coming couple of months
2. There is still sowing and planting to be done
3. What's harvestable at the moment and how to carry this out?
4. Let's talk about food resilience and what we are doing to mitigate it
5. A look at some specific tasks you might want to carry out at this time of year
6. Q and A session - please bring along any questions you have

There will be a short break at half time for tea and cake

Any profits that we make from these sessions will go towards our community outreach work including children's farm visits and community food projects that we are planning
