  Wild - with Lucy Cooke The day will start with a welcome chat followed by
  a walk around the local area where Lucy will search and explain the prope
 rties of various wild plants and how they can be used in the kitchen.. Aft
 er the walk Lucy will lead a workshop demonstrating how to transform your 
 wild food finds so that you can add a little bit of wild into your regular
  diet\, as we now know a more diverse array of plants is great for the mic
 robiome and boosts our health in any number of ways. We will sit down toge
 ther for a buffet lunch which will comprise various dishes using the best 
 of the seasonal produce we grow at Havenhills with a touch of the wild abo
 ut it using locally foraged ingredients. After lunch there is an optional 
 garden tour of the Havenhills Field. 10am start and welcome drink 10.15 wa
 lk with a snack en route 12.15 demonstration workshop 1.15pm lunch (drink 
 included) 2.30pm Garden Tour Lucy is a foraging teacher and member of the 
 Association of Foragers offering catered experiences\, tuition\, and wild 
 food consultancy. Her business\, The Wild Cooke\, is based in Argyll and t
 he Scottish Highlands and she regularly works from her family's base in Sh
 ropshire. Lucy believes in restoring a vital\, but often lost\, connection
  between people and place. She is extremely interested in how community\, 
 food\, and culture entwine. She is also starring in the 6 part series BBC 
 ALBA foraging 'Rùrachd' (with subtitles) available on BBC iPlayer from 1s
 t March 2025.
